Judging Short Story Contest

Sponsored by Francis Loo, Chapter Books

Writing an emotional and engaging Short Story is harder than it sounds, but judging them is rewarding and fun.  We need as many members as possible to offer to judge and even if you feel you’ve ‘done your time’ with such a small organisation we need to regularly volunteer to judge. Someone helped you in your career, it’s great to be able to pay that back.

The contest is for a contemporary romance short story of 1800 words, by computer count, including any chapter headings or section divisions, etc. Both published and unpublished writers are eligible to enter this contest but all entrants must be current financial members of RWNZ.

Entries may include a wide variety of themes, such as mystery, humour, relationships and family issues, with warmth an important factor. All stories must contain a romantic thread or element.

So if you could give up a couple of hours of your time, please sign up here. It is greatly appreciated.
