When you join RWNZ you become part of a nation-wide network that offers personal and professional support at every stage of your writing career. Aspiring authors have access to craft development and learning, emerging authors to contests and publishing industry personnel.

Already a published author?

RWNZ offers the published author a network of communication and support, connecting authors with media and other external parties, sharing information on marketing, self-publishing, calls for submission, and offering opportunities for promotion, education and recognition.

Regional Chapter Meetings
Regular meetings are held by member groups in several regions of NZ, including Auckland, Coast-to-Coast (Central), Wellington, Blenheim, Nelson, Christchurch, Dunedin.  All local members and visiting members are welcome to attend the meetings. Non-members interested in joining are welcome to attend one Chapter meeting at no cost to “try before you buy”.  Meeting format varies between regions, but they commonly include a writing-related workshop, the sharing of industry news, networking and food! Heart to Heart Newsletter and Liaisons
Our monthly communications include an electronic newsletter of organisation news as well as contributing articles from other professional writers, market news, contest and conference information.  A digital version of our annual Liaisons short story collection, which contains the top ten entries in the Chapter Short Story competition, is another member benefit.

Annual Conference
This is the highlight of the year for most members. RWNZ conferences always attract terrific speakers and workshop leaders from the writing world, including top romance authors, editors and industry professionals. Read here for the latest conference info

Members Facebook Group
RWNZ members-only facebook group provides support, networking and and robust discussion forums for members. It’s a great way to network, keep on top of the latest industry news, ask questions and compare notes with other writers, especially for those unable to attend local chapter meetings.

RWNZ is a non-profit organisation run by an elected volunteer committee, and all membership fees are used to provide the membership services listed above.
