RWNZ is a not-for-profit organisation incorporated in Aotearoa New Zealand. We are led by a volunteer Board of Directors (Executive Committee), elected by our members, who oversee the strategic direction, policies, and financial management of the organisation. RWNZ operates in accordance with a formal constitution, which outlines our purpose, structure, and governance responsibilities.
We’re also supported by other passionate volunteers who help deliver key initiatives via professional development, competitions, member support, and advocacy for romance writers across Aotearoa.
If you are interested in volunteering for a position on the Executive, please contact the President to discuss the roles. Nominations are called for in June each year.

We’re always keen to hear from anyone wishing to volunteer for smaller jobs—at conference, at a regional level, running competitions, etc. Don’t worry if it’s your first time doing something like this and you’re a little nervous. It’s fun. We’ll show you what to do, how to do it, and have your back while you learn.
